Welcome to the registration page for the October Open Night of the British Fantasy Society.

On October 13th the Open Night will be held in York for a change. The event will be held at the York Brewery (directions below) from 7.00pm.

The brewery require us to provide them with expected numbers so they can ensure the correct level of staff. Please register using one of the forms to the right (or unregister if you find you are unable to make it, after previously registering).

Brewery Tour
Dependant on numbers, there will also be the opportunity for a tour of the brewery before the Open Night begins in earnest. For a modest fee (£5) you will be taken on a tour of the brewery, and get the chance to sample a pint of their finest.

Food
Again, dependent on numbers we can arrange a buffet for anyone who wishes to eat (a good idea if you're travelling any distance). The buffet will cost £7 per head, and a selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food will be made available.

Paying for your Tour / Food
Please register and pay using the form to the right. Payment is through PayPal, and all major credit and debit cards are accepted. You do not have to have a PayPal account to be able to pay in this way.

If you would prefer to pay by cheque please email lee@therighthand.co.uk for details. PayPal is preferred as it keeps administration to a minimum.

Refunds
If, for any reason you are unable to attend, your payment will be refunded in full. No notice is required for full refund of the Brewery Tour payment, but 48 hours notice will be required for refund of the food payment (as we have to give the brewery's caterers ample notice).

Getting to York
York is well-served by road and rail, and is a shade over 2 hours by train from Kings Cross. The brewery is quite central, and just 5 minutes' walk from the train station. Full directions will be emailed closer to the event.

Where to Stay

If you decide to stay overnight (and you should - York is a wonderful place for a weekend visit) we recommend the Wheatlands Lodge. Approximately 10 minutes' walk from the train station, and only 5 minutes from the Brewery.
